Designated Course Options & Marks

2011 Master Scratch Sheet:
The Scratch Sheet has been updated with appropriate changes known to your Regatta Chairman but members are encouraged to review their boat PHRF ratings and advise the Chairman of any corrections.  Members are also encouraged to obtain an official PHRF Certificate from the YRALIS but this step is not essential for those who wish to do the club racing only.  These racers may have their rating assigned by the Chairman based upon the standard rating list of the YRALIS.  Generally, the Chairman assigned rating, though less costly, may be slightly more restrictive.

2011 Race Entry and Waiver Forms:
Download these forms: Race Entry Form and the Waiver Form.  An executed Entry form is required for each race and one executed Waiver form is required each race season (yr).

Please note: the forms are in pdf format.  In order to view PDF files, you need Adobe Acrobat which is available for free download here.

2011 Race Committee Service:
Your Regatta Chairman will provide Race Committee Service for the second race (Ancarel Cup) but we need Race Committees (RC) for the other three races.  The RC can consist of 2 or 3 Race Officers and a boat at anchor to do the start and finishes.  The Regatta Chairman will provide all the necessary documentation, the signaling equipment, instructions on running the race and, upon receipt of the start and finishing times, the Chairman will run the data through the PHRF Results Calculator Program and publish the results.

Race Committee Service is a great way to learn more about sailing and racing.  No special experience is necessary to do this job well.  Yacht Clubs work best when members donate some of their time to one function or another and what could be easier than sitting on your boat and being a part of the Race Program. Please volunteer by contacting Bob Giglia at 914-381-2642 or  robertgiglia@msn.com.  Your service will be recognized at the end of year Awards Brunch
